Who Is The Black Chinaman?

Saving someone's life is like falling in love. The best drug in the world. For days, sometimes weeks afterwards, you walk the streets, making infinite whatever you see. Once, for a few weeks, I couldn't feel the earth - everything I touched became lighter. Horns played in my shoes. Flowers fell from my pockets. You wonder if you've become immortal, as if you've saved your own life as well. God has passed through you. Why deny it, that for a moment there - why deny that for a moment there, God was you? I realised that my training was useful in less than ten percent of the calls, and saving lives was rarer than that. After a while, I grew to understand that my role was less about saving lives than about bearing witness. I was a grief mop. It was enough that I simply turned up. Living and working back in Brunei, after a 14 year absence... Also known as: Brunei, NASA, Bruise-Eye, Bru, Cheesecake, Nick, BruNick, BruMedNick, Two Step etc etc etc

"Thanks Mr Taxi Driver, I'll Just....ITARU! Wake Up! Damn, He's Passed Out...There's No Vomit Though..."

Yea, Itaru and I went out last night to Maloolaba, was a bit of fun too, met up with Luke, the poor sod...hes got confidence issues, and how the hell do you help someone with that? I mean, you could make small goals, and work from there and all that....*sigh*...it's going to be something I'm going to have to try to figure out...

But yea, in the main story...on the way home (early...at 0100...) Itaru passed out in the back seat of the taxi...and just talking to him then, he doesn't remember...hehe...he was near passing out when we were at the club too...which was quiet funny to see...and the even scarier part was that I was drinking more than him...and I was feeling sober when we left...I mean, I would have blown probably 0.03 or something, but not to the stage of stumbling around and slurring...as Itaru was...!

So, how did I do in not talking to Grace? I think I did quite well...she was the one that called last night before I went out...and she even said that she called at that time just so that I wasn't out when she called...looking at the phone, there was the phone number, and it was 026677......and I was like....who the hell? I know 02 is NSW, then 6 is a regional area...but 6677? Oh well, knew who it was very quickly...:p

So, it's Easter Sunday...how many people have had their fill of Easter Eggs? We've got to go get some to have around the house...but it's bloody raining...we're in need of a shop too, but unsure if Woolies is open or closed...so we'll be having a look at what happens laterish...

I also made a mistake yesterday! Was trying to make Rosti (Potato Pancakes)...I forgot to add egg and flour...hehe...woopse...still came out edible though....but I did chuck it out in the end...people in the house are not closing the screens, so there's a million and one flies buzzing around...

Be safe, and Happy and Blessed Easter to all...
