I am now student number 6103404608 of the Sunshine Coast TAFE. Whoo! That was a trip and a half just to go enrol into the course...but it was fun...got some more times, went to the movie theater to pick up the timetable there, found another place to drink, and did some shopping...now just got to go and get some dinner organised (chicken sandwiches sound good) and go from there...
I also got Grace's phone number (more on her later...)
Cos it's like that...and that's the way it is....HUH!

...And We're Off!!!!
Ok, I'm going to do a security course. I'm going to get my license, find myself a decent job, and actually get somewhere...I'm guessing, since the normal course fee for Australian students is around $600, that this is a good outcome, like I said before, originally quoted for around $2000. I don't honestly believe I can get it any cheaper than what it is now...
This though, puts major stress on what my current schedule is like. Well, it actually gives me more to do, which is alright I guess; the five day weekend was getting a little much...even with study and free time scheduled in...
So, lunch, then bus to the TAFE...sweet...

Spam Spam Spam Spam...Spam Spam Spam Eggs and Spam...
So, spam spam eggs bacon and spam, or spam spam spam bacon and eggs?
Having a talk to Steve, Fiona and Karyn about different recipes and what to eat...I'm going to be doing my weekly shop in a bit too, so I'm planning meals and ingredients and all that...and get this, just got a phone call from TAFE RE my security license...$1077 all up...and there might be a payment plan too, Jackie (from TAFE) is going to call me back soon with the options...this is so much better than the last quote I got from them, which was, "around $2000"...a lot of, "around $2000" hey?
Ok, just got a call back, they need 20% deposit, rest payable later, so that's $215.40. Now, to do or not to do? That is the question...
And what the hell do I cook for the rest of the week? I've got some left over honey soy chicken with boiled snow peas and broccoli in the fridge, and have some rice cooking now in the microwave, but yea, the possibilities of beef strogonoff, chili con carne, curry, meatloaf, tuna and rice, and of course, Spam...might need more eggs too...and possibly satay beef and noodle dish? Hell, I don't know...
Ok...so...$1077, + $520 (for rent) = $1597...$1600 all up...at the exchange of 1.27270, that's about $2036.33...hmm...to do it or not...

I'm Falling In Love...
...With Microsoft Office OneNote...
This has got to be one of the greatest note taking programs available. If only I had a TabletPC, things would be so much different. No more paper notebooks, and I can just print off my notes if I wanted a hard copy, or email it to lecturers, or use the notes and research I've found in my assignments.........the possibilities are endless...:)

In other news, this morning was bucketing down with rain...it was heavy, heavy stuff. The back yard had about an inch of water in the lower areas, and most of it was submerged. All fun and games. It's actually becoming sunny now, a bit windy, but at least it's not raining anymore; I'd have to change the name of the blog to "Cheesecake In A Rainy Land"...
One of the simplest things I've made up thus far is the tomato and BBQ sauce marinade...it's great, and the sweetness really came out in the lamb I had last night for dinner...tom and BBQ sauce, garlic, some herbs, salt and pepper, and brown sugar...marinaded for 3 hours, and that's it...was really impressed with it...
I'm going to have to give those guys in immigration and HSA a phone call tomorrow...all today's been doing so far is transcribing notes to OneNote...
Boring, I'm sure...
Also, there's links on the righthand side of the screen to some of my friends that have blogs themselves. Fiona's currently on exchange in Finland, and from what I'm hearing, she's having a great time up there...then there's Rhi, who I haven't spoken to in a while, but she's still a mate of mine from a long time ago, so swing by her blog and see her artwork; she is very talented. Steph is a girl from Brunei who's currently studying in Melbourne. Her blog's password protected, but I'll see if you guys can figure out how to get it; the clues are all in the writing. And lastly, Steve, mate of mine from Bathurst, he's moving to Canada soon to be with Karyn, and they're both great people...
