Who Is The Black Chinaman?

Saving someone's life is like falling in love. The best drug in the world. For days, sometimes weeks afterwards, you walk the streets, making infinite whatever you see. Once, for a few weeks, I couldn't feel the earth - everything I touched became lighter. Horns played in my shoes. Flowers fell from my pockets. You wonder if you've become immortal, as if you've saved your own life as well. God has passed through you. Why deny it, that for a moment there - why deny that for a moment there, God was you? I realised that my training was useful in less than ten percent of the calls, and saving lives was rarer than that. After a while, I grew to understand that my role was less about saving lives than about bearing witness. I was a grief mop. It was enough that I simply turned up. Living and working back in Brunei, after a 14 year absence... Also known as: Brunei, NASA, Bruise-Eye, Bru, Cheesecake, Nick, BruNick, BruMedNick, Two Step etc etc etc

Well, I'm still alive...just...I'd like to take this opportunity to apologise for being rather sketchy with details from the apst couple of weeks, just been really strapped for time and not being able to type out Blogs during Frees (purely and simply because I'm not around for those Frees; had the Stannies-MKC Combined Mass last week, so I had to go to practice for that over at MKC...), but anyway, here's what's been going on:

  • Me going out to the Park Hotel on Saturday to listen to this really really good band (Projekt)

  • Listening to a girl that sounded like the girl from Evernecece(spelling???)

  • Having, generally, a good time...

  • ...and then getting into the shit for it on Sunday for returning to school intoxicated

  • Going to the SSC-MKC Combined Mass...

  • ...And meeting up with all these new girls

  • Celebrating my 18th birthday...

  • ...With a detention

  • Going out to Orange to celebrate after...

  • ...And having the bruises from running into a park bench full pelt while Bill and Alex stand at the side laughing

  • Returning in one piece, older, wiser, and poorer!

  • And some other, rather interesting points...

  • I'll have to type those out in full later, but for now, there's English...
