It's just another one of those days when things are just putting along...
I'll try to get through most of the points from yesterday's post:
Projekt is a 4 member band from Orange. The singer, Heather, is 18-19, and sounds like the girl from Evanescence...really, an interesting band...didn't have much of a dinner, so I got ratted pretty fast...went straight to my head...but yea, signed back in by 2230, and then went to bed...woke up the next morning a bit late for Sunday Detention, but apparently they called it off (on account that the rezo had a hangover), so it was all good...but in the arvo I had to write up what happened from the night before for Brad...but yea, talked to Ox about it, and it was a "learning curve"...
Combined Mass practice started on Friday at MKC, and it was all good and stuff, saw people I haven't seen in ages (Gabby and Chantelle, to name a few, and Katie in the corridor) and just, well, sat there singing...! (What else was I supposed to do???) Monday was the same, then Wednesday we had a "dress rehersal" at the Cathedral, and yea...Thursday was the actual day, and for just sitting around singing for 2 hours, and then getting provided morning and afternoon tea and lunch, well, it was well worth it...(forgot to add...it was Gabby's 17th birthday on Monday)...and yea, that was the Combined Mass...
My 18th Birthday...what I did, what I didn't do, what I did and can't remember...it was a good night...well, better than what happened in the afternoon...it was all fun and games to prepare for the afternoon, and on attempting to sign out, get served with a detention for drinking from last week...and I was severely pissed, as you can imagine...and unfortunately, I was acting very immaturely in the detention hall...it looks like I'm going for another detention this week...but anyway, it was all good, finished up, packed, then got ready to go to Orange...arrived at about 7 something, Bill picked me up, then went over to their house to drop off my gear...Pizza was for dinner...so, after picking up Joe from the Uni, dinner was served at Alex and Ben's (Clancy's boyfriend) place, and we met up with Ester (who's 18th was the day before) and just sat aroudn talking for a bit...walked then into town, and met up with Nick (from TAFE)...we had a couple at the Canobolas (The Knob) and got a phone call form my parents...that was alright...we then went across the street to the Park, met Koshy there...
Goign to have to continue this again tomorrow...the library is closed again at lunch and after school...and the bell just went...at least I'm about half way though the list!
Who Is The Black Chinaman?

- Saving someone's life is like falling in love. The best drug in the world. For days, sometimes weeks afterwards, you walk the streets, making infinite whatever you see. Once, for a few weeks, I couldn't feel the earth - everything I touched became lighter. Horns played in my shoes. Flowers fell from my pockets. You wonder if you've become immortal, as if you've saved your own life as well. God has passed through you. Why deny it, that for a moment there - why deny that for a moment there, God was you? I realised that my training was useful in less than ten percent of the calls, and saving lives was rarer than that. After a while, I grew to understand that my role was less about saving lives than about bearing witness. I was a grief mop. It was enough that I simply turned up. Living and working back in Brunei, after a 14 year absence... Also known as: Brunei, NASA, Bruise-Eye, Bru, Cheesecake, Nick, BruNick, BruMedNick, Two Step etc etc etc
