Who Is The Black Chinaman?

Saving someone's life is like falling in love. The best drug in the world. For days, sometimes weeks afterwards, you walk the streets, making infinite whatever you see. Once, for a few weeks, I couldn't feel the earth - everything I touched became lighter. Horns played in my shoes. Flowers fell from my pockets. You wonder if you've become immortal, as if you've saved your own life as well. God has passed through you. Why deny it, that for a moment there - why deny that for a moment there, God was you? I realised that my training was useful in less than ten percent of the calls, and saving lives was rarer than that. After a while, I grew to understand that my role was less about saving lives than about bearing witness. I was a grief mop. It was enough that I simply turned up. Living and working back in Brunei, after a 14 year absence... Also known as: Brunei, NASA, Bruise-Eye, Bru, Cheesecake, Nick, BruNick, BruMedNick, Two Step etc etc etc

*PHEW*...another weeks down, a couple more to go...

Just finished Community Aid Abroad's Walk Against Want today...that was an "interesting" experience, if I don't say so myself...only stressed heaps...like usual...but I must remember next time...I'm not "allowed" to do anything without writtenpermission of the headmaster...nothing's happened yet though...*TOUCH WOOD*

I'm going to be in the crapper tonight...got caught going out last night...bad me...:(...oh well...next weekend I'll be on a deplyoment, then the weekend after I'm trying to see if I can get some time out with Jess and stay over at her place for the weekend...or probably just Saturday night...that'll be 03 APR...

Yes...finally...next weekend I'll be on deployment...that should be good...if the school's going to be a bitch about it and not let me go, well, there'll be hell to pay...probably on my head...I'm just going to go too...it's just not cricket if they don't let me go to my last Koora...

Week after that I'll be having my half-yearlys...that should be interesting too...got 2 interviews to do, one written, one oral, and then there's a practical Physics one...then just some written ones for the rest...gaahh.....

I've got a headache, so i might go and get some shut eye till Mass later...

Peace out...
