Got perliminary results back today about my blood test...they're not looking too good at the moment...:( There's a positive on two of the three tests, and at the moment, I've only got 2 matches...33%, but there's one more test to go, so the best out of it would have to be 66%, but it's looking more like 50%...they need at least 80%...:(
Came back from the Koora biv on SUnday and found my door non-existant...so that was pretty interesting...someone went on a rampage over the weekend, and my door was a casualty of that...opened my door, and the back of it was on the floor...go figure...!
Speaking of Koora, it was alright...just really dry...there wasn't any condensation in the tent in the mornings, so that's just an indicator as to what it was like...hot, dusty, and dry...the first night there there was a fire ban, so there was no hot food, which was a bummer...but thankfully the fire ban got lifted for the rest of the weekend...:) Just the usual, nothing fantastic; the highlights was probably Saturday night, when 2 guys had to go to Cowra hospital with injuries...minor leg injuries and a spider bite, and on Sunday, on the NavEx, some of the spiders were pretty creepy...had to keep a constant look out for them...
But yea, it was fun...nothing much happening apart from exams...stuffed the Chem one yesterday, but the Physics one this morning was pretty alright...nothing fantastic again, but lots better than Chem...got to look at the Standards Packages and see what went wrong...got a care package from Alice yesterday too, which included lots of notes from last year's Chem and Physics exams...thankfully the Chem one wasn't assessable...*PHEW*
E's working in a restuarant that serves the likes of Francis Ford Coppola, so that's pretty cool...she's also working as a horse trainer now, so she's doing what she wants I guess...James broke up with her over Christmas, but that's that...
This weekend should be cool...got a case of Toohey's Extra Dry's (TED's) waiting for me (thanks Jonsey) from what we agreed on voer the weekend...and I'm going to stay over at Jess' place too...so down to the Ox I go...all paid for too...
The Ball's on soon...I don't think Candice can make it, which is going to be a big bummer...I'll ask Claire this arvo if I can take Lisa out...that is, if she's interested in going to a Black Tie in Sydney...
The Drill Team's got a new move going too, so that's pretty cool...it's our new "change step" movement...and it's looking smick...got a practical DCB exam and theoretical FCB exam next week...AHHH!!!
Stage Band's got a gig tomorrow night at the City Library, so that should be cool...got all the music sorted, so it's show time from 1730 tomorrow night...AHHH!
I need a holiday......
Who Is The Black Chinaman?

- Nick
- Kuala Belait, Brunei
- Saving someone's life is like falling in love. The best drug in the world. For days, sometimes weeks afterwards, you walk the streets, making infinite whatever you see. Once, for a few weeks, I couldn't feel the earth - everything I touched became lighter. Horns played in my shoes. Flowers fell from my pockets. You wonder if you've become immortal, as if you've saved your own life as well. God has passed through you. Why deny it, that for a moment there - why deny that for a moment there, God was you? I realised that my training was useful in less than ten percent of the calls, and saving lives was rarer than that. After a while, I grew to understand that my role was less about saving lives than about bearing witness. I was a grief mop. It was enough that I simply turned up. Living and working back in Brunei, after a 14 year absence... Also known as: Brunei, NASA, Bruise-Eye, Bru, Cheesecake, Nick, BruNick, BruMedNick, Two Step etc etc etc
