Yay...back to normal...well, nearly...
The screen's definitely dead...going to see if Mike can repair it...I think it's only the switch that's not working...hopefully...
At the moment, I'm using a spare screen from a friend...it's a 17" screen, and it's absolutely huge...and good too...though it's taking up half the desk, I'm not complaining...I can see more of my battle field now when playing "Command and Conquer: Yuri's Revenge"...:) (Gamers' Heaven)
Mike managed to reinstall the drivers to for the graphics card, so now I can actually see colour instead of blobs of 16 different colours...believe me, Bevin look rather interesting being a big blob of Blacks, Yellows, Reds and Whites...but you could still see her smile...:)
Went to a birthday party for Mike's niece Nadia at the Sheraton Utama Hotel in Bandar...it was pretty shit truthfully...the DJ sucked...he was playing his own favorite songs...ie: Missy Elliot or someone or other's "Reverse Song"(?) SEVEN TIMES!!! Bloody annoying and just killed what would have passed as an ok night for partying with 14-16 y.o.'s...just sat there instead listening to the same crapola for 4 hours...the food wasn't all that too bad, and neither was the live band by the pool...they rocked better...:)
After that went and played pool with Jerry...if you ever meet Jerry, and he asks if you want to play pool, please do run for your life...as fast as possible...put it this way...he's really really good...nice fellow too...:) Can't say that he always truthful about his expertise though...once again...run...very fast, very far...
Good night all in all...and the best soccer club in the English Premier League (Arsenal) won their match against Middlesbrough 4-1...I've got to add this LINK here...you'll see why...:)
Night for now...
Who Is The Black Chinaman?

- Nick
- Kuala Belait, Brunei
- Saving someone's life is like falling in love. The best drug in the world. For days, sometimes weeks afterwards, you walk the streets, making infinite whatever you see. Once, for a few weeks, I couldn't feel the earth - everything I touched became lighter. Horns played in my shoes. Flowers fell from my pockets. You wonder if you've become immortal, as if you've saved your own life as well. God has passed through you. Why deny it, that for a moment there - why deny that for a moment there, God was you? I realised that my training was useful in less than ten percent of the calls, and saving lives was rarer than that. After a while, I grew to understand that my role was less about saving lives than about bearing witness. I was a grief mop. It was enough that I simply turned up. Living and working back in Brunei, after a 14 year absence... Also known as: Brunei, NASA, Bruise-Eye, Bru, Cheesecake, Nick, BruNick, BruMedNick, Two Step etc etc etc
