Who Is The Black Chinaman?

Saving someone's life is like falling in love. The best drug in the world. For days, sometimes weeks afterwards, you walk the streets, making infinite whatever you see. Once, for a few weeks, I couldn't feel the earth - everything I touched became lighter. Horns played in my shoes. Flowers fell from my pockets. You wonder if you've become immortal, as if you've saved your own life as well. God has passed through you. Why deny it, that for a moment there - why deny that for a moment there, God was you? I realised that my training was useful in less than ten percent of the calls, and saving lives was rarer than that. After a while, I grew to understand that my role was less about saving lives than about bearing witness. I was a grief mop. It was enough that I simply turned up. Living and working back in Brunei, after a 14 year absence... Also known as: Brunei, NASA, Bruise-Eye, Bru, Cheesecake, Nick, BruNick, BruMedNick, Two Step etc etc etc

Lord Of The Rings

As everyone would know, the Lord Of The Rings trilogy is probably one of the most popular/talked about movies in recent times; and tonight I finally managed to watch the last installment in the rather interesting series. I can admit that I'm not particularly a fan of Fantasy, but the LOTR movies are an interesting set that I didn't actually mind watching; on the contrary, I actually enjoyed watching them...:)...for those who haven't had the chance to watch the latest (Return Of The King), please do, but watch the first two (if you haven't already) first, because you wouldn't get the story...;)

Just got back the confirmation today too; Ethan's tumor was (is?) cancerous...poor guy...

Today has actually been jammed packed...woke up early again to go to the hospital for my yearly medical tests...got a reasonable Body Mass Index (BMI) reading...use this calculator if you're interested in what yours is...it's pretty straight forward...I'm slightly overweight...by about 4 kgs...but I'm blaming that on home cooking and the holidays...! Definitely unfit though...well, got 3 months until the footy starts again!...also went for a blood platelet test...should get the results by Saturday...hopefully it's not too bad...

*YAWN* Ahh...gee...being free is pretty cool...you can just "window shop" without any problems...if you're discreet that is...;)...going to hit the sack now...been a pretty long day...woke up, hospital for about 3 hrs, bank, shopping, lunch, then to the movies, dinner, then now I'm here...but it's FUN!!!
