Hmm...
Had the feast of St John the Evangelist (patron saint of my parish) today, and the following dinner was combined with the Outreach (for non-Christians) and Migrant (overseas workers) dinners...the night was alright...the Thai workers put on a exhibition Thai Kick Boxing match, and it was rather hilarious...the guy in the Red was attacking the referee instead of the Blue opponent at one stage...just one of those "Just For Laughs" moments...it was a good night...
My sister's bf's staying over for the weekend, and he's going to help me work on the computer tomorrow, so hopefully by this time in 24 hours there'll be a new USB port and a new DVD-RW burner installed...yay! I hope that it can work with the current system...
Nothing else much is happening...drove again today...got a bit tipsy at lunch...and later my uncle Gavin's getting married...so my parents are going up to Bandar for that...my sis and I weren't invited...not that it would have been anything anyway...it was one of those "Adults Only" sorta do's...and on Monday, my sis, my aunt, Josh, Mike and me are going to finally watch the third installment of The Lord of The Rings...should be interesting...I'm not really a fantasy fan, but LOTR I can cope with...and Fiona's bugging me all the time just cos she got her LOTR Soundtrack the other night...-Hey Fi-...
Just watched "The Emperor's New Groove" with my mum...that was fun...it's one of her favorite show...I've seriously got to go watch The Italian Job...it's sitting outside in the lounge, but I just haven't gotten down to watching it yet...well, I've got a bit more time to go through before I'll do that...
Well...no rest for the wicked...:)
Who Is The Black Chinaman?

- Kuala Belait, Brunei
- Saving someone's life is like falling in love. The best drug in the world. For days, sometimes weeks afterwards, you walk the streets, making infinite whatever you see. Once, for a few weeks, I couldn't feel the earth - everything I touched became lighter. Horns played in my shoes. Flowers fell from my pockets. You wonder if you've become immortal, as if you've saved your own life as well. God has passed through you. Why deny it, that for a moment there - why deny that for a moment there, God was you? I realised that my training was useful in less than ten percent of the calls, and saving lives was rarer than that. After a while, I grew to understand that my role was less about saving lives than about bearing witness. I was a grief mop. It was enough that I simply turned up. Living and working back in Brunei, after a 14 year absence... Also known as: Brunei, NASA, Bruise-Eye, Bru, Cheesecake, Nick, BruNick, BruMedNick, Two Step etc etc etc
