(Currently in Sydney)
Firstly, I am tired.
I am tired of travelling, I am tired of having to deal with Midget...who has now changed things in a big way...as this is now (I dare say) going to become a judicial matter, it may become very messy indeed...
Secondly, the "hotel" that I'm currently at is a dive and a half...the shared toilets/showers on the floor don't work...so, either up or down...down, the male toilets are locked...up...it's looking pretty scary up there...
Oh well...
There's a pub just up the road from where I'm staying, serves the best $5 steaks I've had for 0100 in the morning...decent size, cooked to medium well (as requested), and just overall a really good atmosphere...
Also managed to meet and catch up with Laura and Kristy...Laura's now doing an abseiling course thingy in the Blue Mountains, and Kristy's working with a paramedic mob in town...was kind of good to see them again after a while...:)
Missing Grace like crazy, and Laura thinks she's absolutely gorgeous...which I agree with...:p
*Sigh* I've been up on the Coast for seven weeks, and shit's already hitting the fan...am I of good character?
Be safe.

Who Is The Black Chinaman?

- Nick
- Kuala Belait, Brunei
- Saving someone's life is like falling in love. The best drug in the world. For days, sometimes weeks afterwards, you walk the streets, making infinite whatever you see. Once, for a few weeks, I couldn't feel the earth - everything I touched became lighter. Horns played in my shoes. Flowers fell from my pockets. You wonder if you've become immortal, as if you've saved your own life as well. God has passed through you. Why deny it, that for a moment there - why deny that for a moment there, God was you? I realised that my training was useful in less than ten percent of the calls, and saving lives was rarer than that. After a while, I grew to understand that my role was less about saving lives than about bearing witness. I was a grief mop. It was enough that I simply turned up. Living and working back in Brunei, after a 14 year absence... Also known as: Brunei, NASA, Bruise-Eye, Bru, Cheesecake, Nick, BruNick, BruMedNick, Two Step etc etc etc
