End of Week 5...HURRAH!
Well, this week's been alright, Wednesday was Ash Wednesday, so that's probably the highlight of the week...nothing much else has happened in the past couple of weeks actually, only that I'm going out on weekend leave tonight until Sunday...yea, even all the old farts like me have time out of school...:) Hopefully Jonsey will remember that he promised me something on Saturday...:P
Found out today that Yr 12's are not allowed to take photos for the school, on a directive from the headmaster himself, so that's a bummer...took the photos for the Ash Wednesday mass and those came out pretty well considering...so much for doing anything for the school anymore...;)
Mr Elms' getting married today! Met Fr Cooney on Death Row and was talking to him for a bit, then the bell went...as it happens...so yea, that's good for Elmsy...
Walk Against Want is looking promising, but I still haven't recieved the booklets yet...some of the other guys have already got theirs, but yea, just talked to Ms Hahn about it...
And note to self...sniffing ammonia is bad for you...and lemon essence is good...
Apart from that, my life is the usual...oh...TEMPERATURE DROP OF 15C IN SIX HOURS!!! bloody amazing actually...but it's cold...!!! AND, on top of that...cold water showers for all...hot water heater is stuffed...!?!?! Wouldn't know what happened......

I realised that my training was useful in less than ten percent of the calls, and saving lives was rarer than that. After a while, I grew to understand that my role was less about saving lives than about bearing witness. I was a grief mop. It was enough that I simply turned up.
