Ahh...THE SHIT HAS HIT THE FAN...*not for me mind...*
Well, with New Year parties going into all manners of day and night 01/01/04, it's expected to hear about a couple of ruffeled feathers every time...as with tradition, the family gets together to share a meal (or two) at the Big House, and everyone normally has a right jolly time...well, that was until earlier in the evening, when one of the Assembled Masses (who had been AWOL since last year) finally waltzed into the house...and boy...were there fireworks...but it's not my place to say...
Again, had lunch and dinner at the House, and my Uncle Simon did a literal "flying visit"...prior to leaving Perth International this morning, he went to a real real neat bakery and picked up a couple of boxes of apple struddle and cream horns, then flew them back (he's a pilot) and arrived at the house at about 1800...then kissed the wife and kids, shook hands all around, and ran out the door again to go back to the airport to continue working...don't know where he is now actually...!
I'm being shot at by my mum, so I better get going...!
But before I go, it's JOKE TIME, British Army style...:)
(No offence to any British Army personel)
Who Is The Black Chinaman?

- Nick
- Kuala Belait, Brunei
- Saving someone's life is like falling in love. The best drug in the world. For days, sometimes weeks afterwards, you walk the streets, making infinite whatever you see. Once, for a few weeks, I couldn't feel the earth - everything I touched became lighter. Horns played in my shoes. Flowers fell from my pockets. You wonder if you've become immortal, as if you've saved your own life as well. God has passed through you. Why deny it, that for a moment there - why deny that for a moment there, God was you? I realised that my training was useful in less than ten percent of the calls, and saving lives was rarer than that. After a while, I grew to understand that my role was less about saving lives than about bearing witness. I was a grief mop. It was enough that I simply turned up. Living and working back in Brunei, after a 14 year absence... Also known as: Brunei, NASA, Bruise-Eye, Bru, Cheesecake, Nick, BruNick, BruMedNick, Two Step etc etc etc
