Well, I got back the latest news I can about everything...full stories and updates on previous posts...
Firstly, my dad's able to come home tomorrow...he had a blood transfusion today, so his blood count is up and he's able to fly home...
Now, to the not to happy item for tonight...Eton's ok...the operation was ok...he came out of surgery about 8 hours ago, and will be sedated until the 22...then he's got a course of chemotherapy to go through...they performed some tests on the tumor and found it to be cancerous...and since they are unsure if they managed to get all of it out, as a precaution they're going ahead with the chemo...
Just had 5 slices of French toast (my sis stole one)...I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how to make French Toast not so limp...like, am I supposed to add milk to the egg or not...where did I go wrong? It was nice anyway, and I'm content...:)
The Electric Light Orchestra's (ELO) "Mr Blue Sky"...a champion song, and I'm not sure if anyone is familiar with their music..."Hold On Tight To Your Dreams" is one song that everyone should listen to at one stage of their lives before the music dies...the band's called ELO purely because it has a "light orchestra" component, ie: violin, viola and cello...and a "full electric" (normal) band with it...hence Electric Light Orchestra...rather ingenious actually...other hits that they've done include Little Richard's "Roll Over Beethoven", with Beethoven's "Symphony No 9" as an intro...
I've got an early morning to get to later...going to pay all the household bills and buy some fish for my dad...adios...
Who Is The Black Chinaman?

- Nick
- Kuala Belait, Brunei
- Saving someone's life is like falling in love. The best drug in the world. For days, sometimes weeks afterwards, you walk the streets, making infinite whatever you see. Once, for a few weeks, I couldn't feel the earth - everything I touched became lighter. Horns played in my shoes. Flowers fell from my pockets. You wonder if you've become immortal, as if you've saved your own life as well. God has passed through you. Why deny it, that for a moment there - why deny that for a moment there, God was you? I realised that my training was useful in less than ten percent of the calls, and saving lives was rarer than that. After a while, I grew to understand that my role was less about saving lives than about bearing witness. I was a grief mop. It was enough that I simply turned up. Living and working back in Brunei, after a 14 year absence... Also known as: Brunei, NASA, Bruise-Eye, Bru, Cheesecake, Nick, BruNick, BruMedNick, Two Step etc etc etc
