Who Is The Black Chinaman?

Saving someone's life is like falling in love. The best drug in the world. For days, sometimes weeks afterwards, you walk the streets, making infinite whatever you see. Once, for a few weeks, I couldn't feel the earth - everything I touched became lighter. Horns played in my shoes. Flowers fell from my pockets. You wonder if you've become immortal, as if you've saved your own life as well. God has passed through you. Why deny it, that for a moment there - why deny that for a moment there, God was you? I realised that my training was useful in less than ten percent of the calls, and saving lives was rarer than that. After a while, I grew to understand that my role was less about saving lives than about bearing witness. I was a grief mop. It was enough that I simply turned up. Living and working back in Brunei, after a 14 year absence... Also known as: Brunei, NASA, Bruise-Eye, Bru, Cheesecake, Nick, BruNick, BruMedNick, Two Step etc etc etc

Bugger, lost my last blog post...the gist of it was that I've been a bad boy in updating the blog...oh, and the reason was that I've been really busy with work and so on...yes, it's getting interesting in the real world...

I'm getting to like a couple of girls, but the problem with the girl that I sorta like the most is that she's down in Wagga Wagga...met her on my parachuting course over the weekend at NAS Nowra (HMAS Albatross)...her name's Carla, and she's in Year 11, and yea, just like her...other girls are Temeka, Kristy, Alison, Christie, Jamie, Karen...and a few more...*shakes head* who knows...I think I'll just stick with Carla for now...ahhh geez...

Yea, went Static Line jumping from 4000' with Sky Dive Nowra, managed to get two jumps in before we had to leave for Bathurst...but yea, it was fun...:D...suprisingly, I didn't really feel all that scared jumping out of a perfectly good aircraft...

Only a couple of days left till I go home, and tomorrow's the last day for the Stannies year...Passing Out is on the 12 DEC at 1430 (!!!!)...and yea, that's about it...going to Jakarta on the 18, then back home on the 22, then to KL on the 28 till 02 JAN 05...then back to Oz on the 14...short stay at home...

Not looking foward to the HSC results coming out...I don't think I'm going to be very successful, but who knows...*shrugs*...anyway, I better be off...
